On the Doctor

I met a traveller from an antique planet,
Who said two words that raced my heart.
Come in, said he, come see from inside.
Half afraid, half excited i pushed the door,
Pull, said a voice, yet I walked in to warm lights.
Tell you what, he said as those passions he read
It IS larger inside, I said, yet small outside.
The smile then mocked me and my heart just stopped.
On the pedestal He jumped and said the words He did:
I am the Doctor, trust me:
Look on to my life, the worlds abound and ever running!
Nothing beside remained, flush with joy
Inside that colossal dimension, boundless and infinite
My journey began with the Lonely and his Wife.
